Abstract

Fixed prostheses are commonly made in routine dental practice. However, accidental swallowing of these is an infrequent emergency in dental clinics. We report a case in which the patient accidentally swallowed a 5-unit fixed denture and review the immediate steps as well as preventive measures to be taken by dentists to avoid such a situation.
